For more than 75 years, Carson Tahoe Health has served Northern Nevada as an independent, not-for-profit health system dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community. What began as a single community hospital has grown into a comprehensive network of healthcare services, including a regional medical center, urgent and emergency care, a broad provider network, and specialized outpatient and behavioral health services.

Through advanced technology, trusted physician partnerships, and a commitment to compassionate care, Carson Tahoe continues to bring high-quality healthcare close to home for the individuals and families we serve.

Our Legacy

Carson Tahoe Health is proud to be an independent, not-for-profit, community-based health system that has served Northern Nevada’s Quad-County region since 1949. For more than 75 years, our legacy has been guided by a simple belief: healthcare should reflect the heart of the community it serves—compassionate, accessible, and committed to every stage of life.

What began as a single community hospital has grown into a fully integrated health system serving patients across Northern Nevada. Today, Carson Tahoe includes a 199-bed regional medical center, urgent and emergency care centers, a broad provider network, and comprehensive outpatient and behavioral health services. Through our longstanding affiliation with University of Utah Health, we are able to bring advanced specialty care to the region while keeping the patient experience close to home.

Throughout our history, Carson Tahoe has remained focused on meeting the evolving needs of our community. From becoming the first hospital in Northern Nevada to earn the Baby-Friendly designation, to establishing the Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center, the first of its kind in Nevada, we continue to expand access to vital services. Our partnership with the Huntsman Cancer Institute also brings world-class cancer care to patients at the freestanding Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.

More than a healthcare provider, Carson Tahoe Health is woven into the fabric of the community we serve. As an independent, not-for-profit health system, we reinvest every dollar back into our people, facilities, and services—ensuring that our community continues to grow stronger and healthier for generations to come.

Foundation

The Carson Tahoe Health Foundation supports the mission of Carson Tahoe Health by partnering with donors, community leaders, and organizations to advance healthcare across Northern Nevada. Through philanthropic support, the Foundation helps fund programs, services, technology, and facilities that enhance patient care and expand access to vital health resources.

Auxiliary

The Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary is a dedicated group of volunteers who support patients, families, and staff through service and community involvement. Since the early days of Carson Tahoe, Auxiliary members have played an important role in enhancing the patient experience through volunteer service, fundraising, and special programs that benefit our hospital and community.

Through initiatives such as the hospital gift shop and volunteer-led efforts, the Auxiliary helps raise funds that support patient care programs, equipment, and services throughout Carson Tahoe Health. Their commitment reflects the spirit of community partnership that has been at the heart of Carson Tahoe for more than 75 years.
