From routine screenings to advanced diagnostics, our Breast Center offers a full spectrum of services designed to support your health at every stage.

3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis)

All mammograms at Carson Tahoe utilize advanced 3D imaging technology, providing clearer, more detailed views of breast tissue. This technology improves early detection and reduces false positives—especially important for women with dense breast tissue.

Breast MRI

Breast MRI offers highly detailed imaging and is often used for high-risk screening or further evaluation following a mammogram. It provides an additional layer of precision in detecting abnormalities.

Breast Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to evaluate breast tissue and further investigate areas of concern identified during a mammogram. It is a safe, radiation-free tool commonly used for diagnostic follow-up.

Breast Biopsy

When additional evaluation is needed, minimally invasive, image-guided biopsies allow for accurate diagnosis with minimal discomfort. Our team ensures a supportive and informative experience throughout the process.

Bone Density (DEXA)

We also offer bone density testing to assess bone health and screen for osteoporosis, supporting women's overall health beyond breast care.

In addition to our main Breast Center on the Carson Tahoe Medical Campus, select women's imaging services are also available at Minden Medical Center—bringing care closer to home for Douglas County residents.
