Nutrition Therapy

Our Services

Services within the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center include nutrition therapy focused solely on working with patients undergoing cancer treatment. Our registered and licensed dietitians are available during infusion sessions. They are also available by appointment and drop-in at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center. Nutrition counseling is free for patients who are receiving cancer treatment through the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.

Our licensed dietitians can address such topics as:

• Dietary changes that can help ease treatment side effects
• Dietary recommendations for specific types of cancer
• Guidance on nutrition for certain cancer treatments
• Education and training for self-administering nutrition support
• Dietary supplement recommendations
• Integrative and functional nutrition
• Nutrition strategies to help reduce the risk of cancer recurrence
