Dave Baker, MD
Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Dave Baker received his medical degree from Creighton University, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico. He has practiced cardiology for more than 20 years, including 17 years serving Northern Nevada. Dr. Baker also earned a Master of Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership from UCSF and has extensive experience in clinical leadership. Outside of work he enjoys country music, hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with family.

What drew you to cardiology?
Cardiology allows you to make a real and immediate impact on someone's life. Helping patients regain their health and quality of life is incredibly rewarding.
What do you value most about Carson Tahoe Health?
It's large enough to deliver advanced care, yet small enough that physicians truly know and collaborate with each other.
Favorite Northern Nevada activity?
Camping and hiking in the Sierra Nevada.
What makes this community special to you?
My family and I built our lives here. Northern Nevada will always be our forever community.
