Integrative Care Approach
Carson Tahoe Cancer Center takes an integrative approach to cancer care, combining advanced medical treatment with supportive therapies that promote healing and overall well-being. This approach brings together traditional clinical care with complementary services to support patients throughout their treatment journey. Care teams collaborate to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring patients receive coordinated, whole-person care tailored to their needs.
Support Groups & Peer Connection
Support groups provide patients with a space to connect, share experiences, and find encouragement throughout their cancer journey.
Groups are available for a variety of needs, including men’s, women’s, prostate, and multiple myeloma support. These sessions provide education, foster connection, and promote survivorship in a supportive environment.
Wellness & Movement Programs
Wellness programs are designed to help patients manage stress, improve mobility, and support overall health during and after treatment. Offerings may include gentle yoga, stretching, and movement-based classes that encourage relaxation, breathing, and physical recovery.
These programs provide patients with tools to help reduce treatment-related side effects and maintain strength throughout care.
Healing Spaces & Reflection
Carson Tahoe provides dedicated spaces designed to support reflection, relaxation, and emotional well-being. The on-site labyrinth offers a quiet environment for meditation and mindfulness, helping patients and visitors find a sense of calm and balance during treatment.
Additional spaces, including the rose garden, provide a peaceful setting that reflects themes of hope, resilience, and healing.
Massage & Relaxation Services
To help manage stress and treatment-related fatigue, the Cancer Resource Center offers complimentary massage services for patients. These services are designed to promote relaxation, support recovery, and enhance overall well-being during cancer treatment. Appointments can be scheduled through the Cancer Resource Center.
