The Carson Tahoe Health Board of Directors provides governance, strategic oversight, and
guidance to ensure the organization remains focused on its mission to enhance the health and
well-being of the communities we serve. Since Carson-Tahoe Hospital first opened in 1949, the
Board has played an important role in supporting the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-
quality, compassionate, and accessible care.
Working closely with the executive leadership team, the Board helps guide the long-term vision
and sustainability of Carson Tahoe Health while ensuring the organization continues to meet the
evolving healthcare needs of Northern Nevada.
Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare operates as a subsidiary of Carson Tahoe Health System and
is governed by a Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected by the Health System Board of Directors
and serve to oversee organizational affairs while upholding Carson Tahoe’s commitment to
community-focused healthcare.
