Communications Privacy Policy

This Privacy Notice applies specifically to communications and engagement activities conducted by the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation in connection with donor relations, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach.

This notice is separate from and does not replace the Carson Tahoe Health Website Privacy Policy or the Carson Tahoe Health Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA), which govern other types of data and communications within Carson Tahoe Health.

Information Collected for Donor Engagement

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may collect personal information voluntarily provided by individuals when subscribing to communications, making donations, registering for events, participating in Foundation programs, or otherwise expressing interest in supporting the Foundation's mission.

This information may include, but is not limited to:

Some donor contact information currently maintained by Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may have originally been collected through prior donor management systems where individuals opted in to receive communications from the Foundation. These records may have been securely migrated to the Foundation’s current donor engagement and relationship management platform.

Donor Relationship Management Systems

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may utilize secure donor relationship management and communication systems, including but not limited to Salesforce or similar technologies, to maintain donor records, manage fundraising initiatives, coordinate events, and distribute communications related to the Foundation’s programs and activities.

These systems may also collect limited engagement information, such as email opens or link clicks, to help improve communication effectiveness and better understand supporter engagement.

Foundation Communications

Individuals who have chosen to receive communications from Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may receive newsletters, updates, fundraising information, event invitations, or other communications related to the Foundation’s mission and community initiatives.

Recipients may opt out of receiving Foundation communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in email communications or by contacting Carson Tahoe Health Foundation using the contact information provided below.

Please note that opting out of Foundation communications applies only to communications distributed by Carson Tahoe Health Foundation. Individuals may continue to receive other communications from Carson Tahoe Health or its affiliated services that originate from separate systems or communication platforms.

Service Providers

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may work with trusted third-party service providers that support donor management, communication distribution, event coordination, or technology services. These service providers are authorized to use Personal Data only as necessary to provide services on behalf of the Foundation and are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards to protect Personal Data.
