Communications Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern communications and engagement activities conducted by Carson Tahoe Health Foundation (“Foundation,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) in connection with donor relations, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach.

These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to Foundation donor communications and engagement activities and are separate from the Carson Tahoe Health Website Privacy Policy and the Carson Tahoe Health Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA), which govern other types of services and communications provided by Carson Tahoe Health.

By subscribing to Foundation communications, participating in Foundation events, or making a donation, you agree to the following terms.

Purpose of Communications

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation provides communications to supporters and community members to share information about our mission, programs, fundraising initiatives, community impact, and events that support Carson Tahoe Health.

Communications may include newsletters, fundraising updates, invitations to events, donor engagement opportunities, and other information related to the Foundation’s charitable activities.

Donor Information

Individuals may voluntarily provide personal information when making a donation, registering for events, subscribing to updates, or otherwise engaging with the Foundation.

Donor contact information may be maintained in secure donor relationship management systems used by the Foundation to manage communications and engagement with supporters, including platforms such as Salesforce or similar donor engagement technologies.

The collection and use of donor information in connection with Foundation communications is described in the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation Donor Communications Privacy Notice.

Donations

All donations made to Carson Tahoe Health Foundation are voluntary charitable contributions intended to support the Foundation’s mission and programs.

Unless otherwise specified, donations are considered non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact Carson Tahoe Health Foundation promptly so we may review the request.

Communications and Opt-Out

Individuals who subscribe to receive communications from Carson Tahoe Health Foundation may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in email communications or by contacting the Foundation directly.

Please note that opting out of Foundation communications applies only to communications distributed by Carson Tahoe Health Foundation. Individuals may continue to receive other communications from Carson Tahoe Health or affiliated services that originate from separate systems or communication platforms.

Intellectual Property

All content distributed by Carson Tahoe Health Foundation, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and other materials, is the property of Carson Tahoe Health Foundation or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

No Medical Advice

Communications from Carson Tahoe Health Foundation are intended for informational and charitable purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Individuals should consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns.

Limitation of Liability

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation makes reasonable efforts to ensure that communications and information provided are accurate and current. However, the Foundation does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all materials and shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance on such information.

Changes to These Terms

Carson Tahoe Health Foundation reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
