Need an Estimate?

Out of pocket costs vary widely based on insurance, which is why it's important we offer our community estimates for future services. We use an estimator tool that incorporates your insurance benefits information in order to provide our patients with what their out-of-pocket costs will be. To receive an out-of-pocket cost estimate for services at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, please select one of the links below.

You can also call our team of estimate specialists at (775) 445-8545.

Thank you for considering us to serve your healthcare needs.

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

You can also ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Make sure you receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For uninsured patients:

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. If Carson Tahoe and the consumer cannot come to an agreeable rate, the Arbitron or Independent Review Process can be initiated. There will be a cost to be paid by the consumer as well as by Carson Tahoe to engage in the dispute process.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call Patient Financial Services at (775) 445-7550.
