Please be advised that you can receive several bills in conjunction with your visit at Carson Tahoe.
Physicians are NOT employees of the hospital and deliver independent services, including but not limited to: emergency or urgent care, obstetrics and gynecology, pathology, radiology, anesthesiology and surgery.
Since every insurance plan is different, it is very important to check your coverage and ask questions. You can contact your insurance plan directly, or contact your employer for more information.

Accessing your medical records is simple and secure. Patients can view many records and test results through the MyChart patient portal, or request copies of their records through Carson Tahoe Health’s Health Information Management team.
If you need assistance obtaining your records or sending them to another provider, our team is here to help guide you through the process.
Advance directives help ensure your healthcare wishes are known and respected if you are unable to communicate them yourself. These documents may include a living will and a durable power of attorney for healthcare, allowing you to outline your care preferences and designate someone to make medical decisions on your behalf.

Preparing for a procedure or surgery helps ensure your safety and supports a smooth recovery. Before your appointment, it’s important to follow your care team’s instructions regarding eating and drinking, medications, and what to bring with you to the hospital. Carson Tahoe Health offers convenient text message reminders to help you stay informed about upcoming appointments and important updates related to your care. You can access a patient’s room number at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at any patient registration area and/or the information desk in the front lobby.
You can call (775) 445-8000 to reach an operator who can connect you to a patient’s room. Operators can only transfer calls to nurses stations in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiovascular Unit (CVU).
There are two main visitor parking areas for the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Visitor parking is available near the Main Entrance on the southeast side of the facility (parking lot 1) and on the northwest side (parking lot 4) near the Emergency Entrance. Volunteer shuttle drivers are available during normal business hours. Visitors can schedule a shuttle pick-up by calling (775) 450-5371.
