Janelle Hoover's career path is a testament to determination and passion for patient care. After 13 years as a real estate broker, she began her healthcare journey at Carson Tahoe as a physical therapy technician. She later became a nurse apprentice, earned her RN and CRN credentials, and progressed through leadership roles including Supervisor of Telemetry, Manager of Telemetry, Director of Emergency Services, and Interim Director of Nursing Operations before becoming Chief Nursing Officer.

Janelle is married to a retired Marine veteran and is the proud mother of three children and two stepchildren. She was recently named a 2026 Carson City Chamber Women of Distinction honoree.

What inspired you to pursue nursing?

I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day.

How do you stay involved in the community?

Coaching girls soccer at Douglas High School and serving as President of Carson Valley Little League.

Watching nurses grow into leaders themselves and seeing the impact they make on patients and families.
