The Merriner Cottages provide no-cost lodging in Carson City for eligible patients and their families traveling from rural communities for cancer treatment or cardiac procedures.
Located on the Carson Tahoe Medical Campus, these fully furnished cottages offer a comfortable, home-like environment to support rest and recovery during treatment.
Merriner Cottages, No-Cost Lodging
Designed to reduce the burden of travel, the Merriner Cottages allow patients and their loved ones to stay close to care while maintaining privacy, comfort, and convenience throughout the course of treatment.
Comfortable, Home-Like Accommodations
The Merriner Cottages include 15 fully furnished residences designed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and their families. Each cottage features a private bedroom, living area, and kitchenette, offering the comforts of home during an often challenging time.
Each cottage can accommodate up to four individuals, making it possible for patients to stay with family members or caregivers throughout their treatment.
Amenities & Convenience
Amenities are designed to support both short- and longer-term stays, helping patients focus on their care and recovery. Each cottage includes:
- Washer and dryer
- Wireless internet access
- Kitchenette with full size fridge/freezer and microwave.
The cottages are located in close proximity to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center and the Cancer Center, ensuring convenient access to appointments and services.
No-Cost Lodging for Eligible Patients
The Merriner Cottages are provided at no cost to eligible patients and their families. This service helps reduce the financial and logistical challenges often associated with traveling for ongoing medical treatment.
