Katie Kucera

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Katie Kucera joined Carson Tahoe Health in August 2020 as Director of Finance and now serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She previously worked at Renown Health, where she served as CFO of Acute Care. Katie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montana and her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University. She also holds a Certified Management Accountant credential. A lifelong Northern Nevada resident from Gardnerville, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Steve and their twin daughters, often hiking, biking, boating, or relaxing at the lake.

What drew you to healthcare finance?

Healthcare finance allows me to combine strategy, numbers, and purpose. Every financial decision ultimately impacts patient care and the strength of the community we serve.

Favorite Northern Nevada activity?

Being at the lake with my family. Whether we're boating, hiking nearby trails, or just enjoying the outdoors, it's where we recharge.
