What’s Healing Our Kids?

Healing Our Kids & Community is Carson Tahoe Health’s strategic, multi-faceted initiative to improve behavioral health access, support, and outcomes for children and families in our region. It’s about more than clinical care—it’s about creating a culture of connection, compassion, and possibility.

By increasing access to care, reducing stigma, and strengthening family and community support systems, we are building a whole-health approach to mental well-being—one that helps kids feel ALIVE, connected, and confident in navigating life.

What are the Carson Tahoe Vehicles of Change (CTVs)?

Kids and families are overwhelmed by today’s mental health crisis. Through isolation and the pressures of social media, they are carrying burdens they were never meant to bear.

At Carson Tahoe, we’re taking bold action by delivering care into the community through our mobile outreach program. Vehicles of Change offers holistic support to youth and families by turning proven therapies into engaging, play-based programming.

We build resilience, connection, and confidence, equipping kids with tools they need for today and their future well-being.

What’s Ahead for Carson Tahoe Health and Behavioral Health Services?

Carson Tahoe’s Behavioral Health Services continues to provide compassionate, cost-effective care for seniors, adults, and adolescents through a multidisciplinary approach—right here in our community. Looking to the future, we’re launching a funding initiative to build a new Whole Health Therapeutic Center on our current campus. This state-of-the-art facility will expand our ability to deliver comprehensive, integrated mental health care for both children and adults.
