Ed Epperson - President & CEO

Ed has 23 years of hospital management experience. He began his career as the Director of Pharmacy and Materials at Dominican Santa Cruz Hospital and then moved to Watsonville, CA to become Vice President at the Watsonville Community Hospital. Ed came to Carson Tahoe Hospital in 1994 as the Chief Operations Officer and in 2001 became the President and CEO. He received a Masters in Public Health from the University of San Francisco, is a registered Pharmacist with a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific, and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Ed is affiliated with the American College of Healthcare Executives, Nevada Hospital Association, and the Medical Group Management Association, and is a member of the Western Nevada Community College Advisory Board, the American College of Healthcare Executives Resource Committee, Nevada Hospital Policy Committee, University of Nevada, College of Science, Advisory Board, and the Board of Directors, Nevada CASA 

Cathy has over 22 years nursing experience with 11 years in nursing management. She has been with Carson Tahoe since 1993. Cathy holds a Masters Degree in Nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of New York. She is a certified BLS instructor, a member of the American Association of Nurse Executives (AONE), the Nevada Organization of Nurse Leaders (NONL), the Nevada Nurses Association (NNA) and the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL)

Richard has more than twenty-five years experience in healthcare including positions in hospital administration, third party payment and consulting. Richard received a Masters of Arts in Education and Allied Health as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama - Birmingham. He is a member of the society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA).

 Dr. Anthony Field, Vice President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Field was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He attended New Mexico State University from 1965-1969. He attended medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana from 1973-1977.  He did his internship and an Internal Medicine residency at Valley Medical Center in Fresno, California.  Dr. Fields practiced Internal Medicine in Carson City, Nevada until 1989, at which time, he returned to Fresno to complete a fellowship in Cardiology. In 1991, he returned to Carson City and opened a private Cardiology practice. In 1986 and 2003-2006 he was appointed Chief of Staff at Carson Tahoe Hospital.  In January 2007 he accepted the position of Vice President of Medical Affairs for Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare.
